Mandalas of Mindfulness

Mindfulness Mandala is part of Dwell, a design exhibition organized by DesignTO, which invites visitors to pause, reflect, and connect amidst the bustling atmosphere of Union Station, Canada’s busiest transportation hub. With over 300,000 travelers passing through daily, Dwell transforms the urban rush into a space for thoughtful design and mindful moments.

'Mandalas of Mindfulness' draws from Kalpit Patel’s personal struggles with mental health, beginning as a private reminder to breathe through life’s overwhelming moments. Rooted in the tradition of Indian art, this digital piece adapts the Mandala form with a Lotus shape, symbolizing purity, enlightenment, and inner transformation. Through intricate patterns and rhythmic animation, the piece guides viewers to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. It serves as a sanctuary of peace, offering a meditative space that reflects the balance of tradition and innovation while inviting healing and mindfulness.
